I'd love it if he'd change his stance on partial-birth abortion and parental notification, but only if he meant it. Sen Obama has already spoken out against gay marriage several times. He is not in favor of it; however, he is in favor of civil unions for gay people which will give them the same legal rights and responsibilities as straight couples in traditional marriages.

Those are Republican propaganda tactics that they have used to control voters for a few elections.





They sound like a trap. Obama doesn't need to sound like an old fashioned stuck up white guy.

I don't see why. Both of these ';issues'; are distractors, both of them involve the states more than the federal government, and he buys himself nothing by dealing with this stuff instead of serious issues.
Of course he should. That will give him the swing vote from the conservatives. Believe me, this man will say anything, if it gets him another vote.
To win, he's going to be as liberal as possible-- so, I suspect not.
Yes he should but he want, he needs to leave that pandering door open.
No he should state what he truly believes and then let the voter's chips fall where they may.
