The only cases I know of are purely fictional, like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde or the main character(s) in Fight Club.
its just basic. if they kill the other, they will both die. Maybe take over control but not kill entirely.

I would think that is the reason for many suicides. Sad, some people end up falling through the cracks of society.
