What happens in cases where an LLC is being sued for an amount higher than its assets?

Are there circumstances in which the partner or partners may be held personally liable? What happens in cases where an LLC is being sued for an amount higher than its assets?
yes, if the offense is sever enough, for example I know of a case where the insured was insured for $100.000 but his offense was so great they ended up paying over one million dollars on a claim,

this is highly unusual but, it can happen,What happens in cases where an LLC is being sued for an amount higher than its assets?
No, one of the best features of a corporation is that ONLY corportaion assests are liable, person assets of corporation members cannot be confiscated to satisfy corporation debts.
