Can a child die because of stress? Are there any known cases?

I heard of a child once dying because he was overly stressed out by his parents. I asked this question yesterday and most people said it was a possibility; but someone else said ';The stress hormones in a young child haven't developed fully is the way i understand it to be..this would be unlikely';.





Does anyone know of a case? Does anyone know of any reference? Thanks.Can a child die because of stress? Are there any known cases?
kids cant die directly from stress, but there are things that can result from stress that can be fatal in exrtreem cases.


stress results in a weak immune system which leaves your body open for diseases to enter and do harm





asside from that the only other way stress can be fatal is if it results in depression which (in extreeme cases) could result in suicide or attempted suicide but if its a young child, im sure thats not the problemCan a child die because of stress? Are there any known cases?
What a sad thing. I don't know but it explains alot about the trouble kids get themselves into. Their way of coping I think.
