Why are these cases being referred to the CPS. Any ordinary bod that has nicked from their company will be hauled out and in the dock as fast as lightening.

I don't know why they are unnamed. Look at the case of Glasgow councillor, Tommy Sheridan. His name was all over the regional papers before he went to court. But then he was the Red under the bed!
Where is all this transparency they are bragging about? Politics is buggered in the UK. Feathering you own nest for those and such as those seems to be allowed yet ordinary working peons get tarred and feathered for the slightest misdemeanor.
All M.P.s who have been ';on the fiddle'; should be charged with obtaining money by deception and brought before a court to face justice. On the other hand, I can't see this happening, if this came about there would be no-one to run the country seeing that 99% of them are bent.The 4 unamed M.P.s are probably willing to ';fall on their swords'; for the sake of their respective parties, they will have been promised that they will be looked after.
My view is there will be a cover up because they'll come out with something like ';It would not be in the public interest to proceed with any prosecutions!';
We will also get the same result from the official enquiry into the war in Iraq which began today and is expected to last until 2011. The mind boggles at how much that is going to cost!
Hooray now send all the other theiving lying cheating scumbags to jail with them, theres no excuses for any of them ,they were voted in to look after our best interests not fleece us via our taxes which everyone hates paying because we have suspected this is whats been going on in those elevated circles for an exceptionally long time and dont be fooled this is just the tip of the iceberg theyve all done it for donkeys torie labour whoever they all got their sticky fingers in the pot
They probably also face a 10 year investigation - after which there'll be a ';public enquiry'; into the findings - then after another 5 years - either everyone will have forgotten about it - or those involved will be dead!!
To be honest if they have claimed for mortgages (that do not exist) then that is fraud and they deserve everything they get.
Well they goverment are always on about benifits cheats and how it is fraud and those who are cought have to pay it back
