In these types of cases does the barrister not see up to date medical reports?
What does it mean when the solicitor says the case is ready for listing? In Personal injury cases, does the barrister not be up dated on the progress of the case?uk?
The barrister needs to see all medical reports available, but it's possible that the latest medical reports merely confirms earlier reports, in which case perhaps the solicitor will tell him that this is the case. I seem to remember that your injuries date back five years, so one would not expect any sudden change to the status quo at this point. In saying that the case is ready for listing, the solicitor is indicating that all preparatory work has been done and that it is simply a question of lodging the case with the High Court so that it can take its place in the list of cases waiting for a hearing date.
