Why were I-130 petitions transferred from NSC to CSC and how long will it take to process these cases?

My friend's case was filed Sep 2002 at NSC as an LPR. He was notified in April 2006 that his I-130 had been transferred to CSC. CSC is processing cases as of Jan 2005. Does his case start over on the date it was received at CSC - April 2006 or will these cases be pulled and processed rather quickly. By the way my friend became a USC in May 2006 and has notified the CSC to upgrade his petition. Any thoughts? It's really hard to understand your question when you use so many acronyms. In any case, it seems that since this is your friend's case, he should be able to contact someone directly at CSC to learn the status of his case. There may be a number of factors that influence the scheduling of a specific case, so even if 90% of the cases are scheduled one way, your friend's case may be scheduled differently.





In this type of situation, it's always better to get the information directly and, usually, only the person involved can request the information.
