Can anyone help me with this algebra question? Factoring special polynomial cases?

I have several to do like this.. but I have no idea how to do them.. or what to search on the internet to find out how to do them. An example of one of these:

3 + 6b + 3b虏

I have the answer - I just don't know the method.

The answer is: 3(1 + b)虏

Thanks. Can anyone help me with this algebra question? Factoring special polynomial cases?
These are done in steps:

1) Is there any factors common to all terms? In this case Yes! 3

3(1 + 2b + b^2)

2) Is the sum of any two factors of the c term (1) equal the coefficient of the b term in this case 2. Again yes 1+1=2

3(b +1)(b+1)

or

3(b+1)^2Can anyone help me with this algebra question? Factoring special polynomial cases?
Factor out the 3 first and then factor the remaining polynomial. To factor the remaining polynomial, you want to un-FOIL it.
There are i think 3 special polynomial cases.

The difference of squares is one.

Look up the difference of squares and i'm sure you will come up with some answers.
3 + 6b + 3b虏

= 3(1+2b+b虏)

= 3(1+b)虏
