Do you think there should be a more strict punishment for animal cruelty cases?

would like a general opinion before i write an articleDo you think there should be a more strict punishment for animal cruelty cases?
Absolutely, especially when you consider the studies that suggest that serial killers often start with animal torture and killing. These people, in my opinion, should be watched carefully.Do you think there should be a more strict punishment for animal cruelty cases?
Yes. Animals are living creatures. Would it be okay to tie your child to a tree and leave him without food or water for a few months? Absolutely not. Why is it that a higher value is placed on the life and treatment of a human? Animals feel pain and have emotions too. If you wouldn't can't care for an animal the same as a child then you aren't, in my opinion, suit to own one. I'm not saying we shouldn't eat meat like beef or pork or chicken, but eating puppies or dragging kittens behind your car is taking it WAY too far!
so do i i strongly agree with you this is absolute morality. the animal didnt choose to live with some one that dosnt look after them. and when or if the animal gets re-homed they are phsycologically didsturbed because they will always remember what has happend to them. espeicially dogs. i really hope this helps x
YES, I do not believe in DOG fits, RUSTERS fits, BULL fits, or things like those. I do not believe in people hunt just for the sake of hunting neither. If you hunt for food %26amp; you eat what you hunt for that is OK. altho some people do say that COWS should not be eaten, so they should not be kill so that's another debate. But I do understand what you are saying %26amp; I am agreed with you!.

I am with you with your ARTICLE!.
YES! If people thought there would actually be consequences for their actions, maybe they would think twice before hurting an animal. Animals feel just like people do. If someone hurt their child they would go to jail but if they hurt their animal (or any animal) there are little repercussions.
Yes, it makes me cross when people of convicted of cruelty %26amp; are banned from keeping animals for a couple of years - are they really going to change in a few years? People who are convicted should be banned from keeping animals for life.
Certainly in our county, yes. The animal cruelty laws are terribly lax in the South and quite often abusers become repeat abusers due to the slap on the hands they get.
I think there should be harsher punishments for child cruelty before we even start to think about animals
Yes. Often it seems the only way to ensure animal welfare.
Yes there should be.
YES
